GNM Admission Requirements

Eligibility Criteria

  • Minimum educational qualification: 10+2 with 40% marks in any stream (Science preferred)
  • Age limit: 17 to 35 years as on 31st December of admission year
  • Medical fitness certificate from registered medical practitioner
  • Valid photo ID proof (Aadhar Card/Voter ID/Passport)

  • 10th & 12th Mark Sheets and Certificates (Original + 3 attested copies)
  • Transfer Certificate / School Leaving Certificate
  • Migration Certificate (if applicable)

GNM Program FAQs

The GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) course duration is 3.5 years, which includes 3 years of academic study and 6 months of compulsory internship in affiliated hospitals.

After completing GNM, you can work as a Staff Nurse in hospitals, Community Health Nurse in rural areas, Nursing Tutor (after gaining experience), ICU Nurse, OT Nurse, or pursue higher studies like B.Sc Nursing through lateral entry.

Our GNM admission process may include an entrance test depending on the number of applications received. However, the primary criteria are your 10+2 marks and performance in the personal interview.

The total fee for the 3.5-year GNM program is approximately ₹1,50,000 (including tuition fees, lab charges, and other academic fees). Hostel facilities are available at additional cost. We also offer scholarships for meritorious and economically disadvantaged students.

Yes, after completing GNM you can pursue B.Sc Nursing through lateral entry (2-year program). Later, you can also study M.Sc Nursing and specialize in various fields like Medical-Surgical Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Obstetric Nursing, etc.
